Job description

Electrical Fitter
£18-£23 per hour Depending on Experience
Dartford

We are innovative - That’s why we need people like you to help us.

Due to increasing requirements from our UK Power Networks LPN (London) and SPN (Southern) client, we are actively seeking experienced Electricians to join our alliance. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in realising our vision of delivering smarter, greener infrastructure to the highest standards.

You will be working over a wide region of Southern England including Kent, Sussex, and London.

Here are some of the key activities you will be involved in:

  1. Installation of metal containment systems, such as Ladder Rack, Cable Tray, Trunking, Lighting Trunking, Conduit, and associated fixings, including uni-strut and threaded rod, within new or existing substations to meet DNO/IDNO specifications.
  2. Installation and termination of distribution equipment, such as LVAC panels and distribution boards.
  3. Installation and termination of secondary equipment, including commando sockets, isolators, lights, switches, and standard sockets.
  4. Pulling, dressing, and glanding various sizes of steel-wired armoured cables.
  5. Conducting inspection and testing (C&G 2396 qualification would be beneficial).
  6. Assisting HV Fitters/Wiremen on site as required.
  7. Adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and standards at all times.

We would love to hear from you if…

You are a time-served, qualified electrician with industrial experience in environments such as UKPN, National Grid, Network Rail, and similar settings. You work well as part of a team but are equally capable of using your initiative to effectively solve problems. To be considered for this role, you should hold a Level 3 C&G 2357 Electrical Installation qualification, with a minimum of five years’ experience, along with an ECS Gold Card and an 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations certification. A C&G 2396 Inspection and Testing qualification is also advantageous.

In addition to these essential qualifications, any of the following certifications would be beneficial: Emergency First Aid at Work, Confined Space Certification (A, B, and C), EUSR, IPAF 3a and 3b, PASMA, and Ladder Association Inspector & User certification. We are committed to supporting the right candidate with full training to ensure you are fully equipped to excel in this role.
