Job summary

OneWay Recruit is seeking an Electrical Fitter to diagnose faults and install electrical systems on vehicles to a high standard. You will fit racking, onboard power, and other auxiliary equipment, following all technical instructions and safety rules.

The role requires hands-on ability, problem solving, and the drive to work independently or as part of a team. A formal electrical qualification or at least three years of electrical experience, plus a clean driving licence, are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years electrical experience and/or a formal electrical qualification is essential.
• Ability to follow technical instructions exactly.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Willingness to attend training.
• Health and safety regulations compliance.

Electrical Fitter

• To complete installations on vehicles to a consistently high standard.
• Follow all instructions including technical instructions exactly.
• To work in accordance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• To attend training as required.
• To become multi skilled and assist in other areas as and when requested.
• To have a fully equipped tool kit at all times
• Any other reasonable request that may or may not be directly related to the job role as indicated above.

Knowledge and Experience

• Three years electrical experience and/or a formal electrical qualification is essential for this job as are excellent problem solving skills

Circumstances

• The ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis and dexterousness are essential to this role.
• This majority of this job role requires the identification of colour. It is an essential criterion for the job that the job holder is able to identify colour; this is in the interests of the health and safety of the employee and of the customer.
• The Job Holder must possess a full clean driving license
