The role of: Electrical Field Service Engineer (Subsea Equipment)

This person will be a key member of the Field Services Team, providing hands-on technical support and operational advice for the full product range both in the factory and at various customer locations worldwide as required.

You will be working on electrical controlled, hydraulically operated mechanical subsea equipment. The role involves developing good working relationships with customers and proactively promoting the equipment and services offered by the business. The products are electrically controlled, hydraulically operated subsea equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work in the factory and in the field assisting with product completion and Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Installation & Commissioning of the product, potentially globally.
  • Be part of the mobilisation team to assist with product repair or on-site standby, which may involve working on a vessel at sea.
  • Maintain equipment functionality, repair as needed, and provide operational support and advice to customer operations personnel at sea.
  • Manage and oversee Sea Trials of the product.
  • Conduct Final Acceptance Testing of the product range.
  • Willingness to travel globally, often on short notice.
  • Read schematics confidently and report writing.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Formal technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Multidisciplinary Engineering.
  • Full driving license.
  • Valid passport.
