Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a company that provides maintenance solutions and technical support to large process plants, including Power Stations, CHP Plants, Petrochemical, and Aggregate Production Facilities, to recruit an Electrical Field Service Engineer.

The role involves travelling to various sites in the Essex and East London area and providing technical support on the maintenance and overhaul of equipment.

The Electrical Field Service Engineer role offers a salary up to £49,000 + overtime, van, laptop, and phone.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Field Service Engineer:

• Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment such as motors, control panels, actuators, transformers, conveyors, and generators.
• Keeping maintenance reports and logs up to date.
• Carrying out maintenance activities within defined budgets.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding electrical problems.
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements.
• Representing the company professionally.
• Working as part of a call-out rota.

Professional qualifications:

• City & Guilds/ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• CompEx training is highly desirable.
• Experience in electrical testing, installation, and fault finding.

Personal skills:

• Servicing and maintenance experience within heavy process industries such as Power Generation, Steel, Cement Works, Paper Mill, etc.
• Knowledge of HV systems is beneficial.
