Role- Electrical Field Service Engineer Salary- Circa £45,000 - £55,000 per annum Type- Permanent Location- Remote (covering UK and overseas customer sites with occasional travel to their UK offices) Other benefits – Overtime and Bonus schemes, professional development support and Health Insurance My client provides electrical services to the power & energy sector, and they are looking to take on an Electrical Field Service Engineer, on a permanent basis. The Electrical Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:NVQ / HND qualification in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject along with relevant hands on Field Service Engineering experience in the industryA Degree or Masters would also be desirable3 years or more previous industry experience working with electrical power systems and controls and exposure to working on Power sitesSomeone who is keen to develop their skills and qualifications further with a companyKnowledge of synchronous machines and relevant systemsHave a good understanding of power conversion principlesBe confident in your ability to write technical reports and any required documentationFlexible to travel across the UK and outside of the UK tooBe able to use test equipment to measure equipment performanceBe a strong team playerHave strong organizational and planning skillsHave excellent communication skills to work well with customersFull UK Driving LicenceThe Electrical Field Service Engineer role will involve:Travel in the UK as well as overseas on a regular basisWorking with suppliers or with customers onsite working with equipment and carrying out commissioning and maintenance activitiesWorking with electrical test equipmentTesting equipment to ensure they are compliant in line with the required standardsProviding expertise in synchronous machine controlWorking alongside colleagues to deliver a range of projectsAlways looking to drive continuous improvementAnalysing performance data whilst working with the equipmentOffering technical support to customers over the phone when requiredAlways showing an excellent level of electrical engineering competencePerforming risk assessmentsProducing manuals to support the installation and operation of equipmentWriting technical reportsProviding mentoring and training to more junior colleagues when requiredIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
