Job description

Electrical Field Engineer

8am 4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) + overtime

GBPcompetitive dependent on experience + overtime + benefits

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively representing an established, successful business based in the Midlands but with a national customer base, in their search for Field Engineers to install and maintain their product line of Air Distribution Systems.

Duties include:

  • Assembling, installing, servicing and refurbishing bespoke Air Handling Units on-site.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the field.
  • Providing technical support directly to clients.
  • Install and test electrical components, wiring motors to isolators/inverters, and bulkhead lighting to switches.
  • Carry out mechanical works alongside mechanical engineers to complete projects.
  • Offer technical support on-site and liaise directly with clients.
  • Supporting with testing and assembling of products at the company HQ when required.
  • Travel to sites across the UK as required.

To be considered, you will have:

  • Experience in a relevant role
  • 18th Edition certification
  • Experience wiring motors and lighting
  • A CSCS card, or be willing to undertake the course
  • The ability to travel nationally, including overnight stays
  • A full UK driving licence

For extra points you will also have:

  • Previous experience working within air handling, or other mechanical movement sectors
  • Experience in a field-based role
  • The desire and ability to undertake overtime at weekends and evenings

This role offers:

  • A competitive hourly rate which is dependent on your level of experience
  • Salary based on the core 40 hours, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate on top
