Overview

Electrical Field Engineer – North West

Location: Nationwide (must be willing to travel and work away from home)

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + overtime + expenses

Benefits: Vehicle, fuel card, mobile, 20 days holiday plus banks, expenses, overtime (time and a third, time and a half and double time)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Field Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role covering sites across the UK, including petrol stations, coffee shops, and retail units. You’ll be responsible for alterations, modifications, and upgrades to thermostat control systems on refrigeration plants, ensuring safe and efficient operation at all times.

The Role

• Carry out electrical alterations and modifications to thermostat controllers.
• Must have experience on refrigeration plant.
• Work on a variety of commercial sites nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions.
• Liaise with customers professionally and represent the company to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications

• Gold ECS/CSCS Card – advantageous
• 2391 test and inspection would be an advantage but not essential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work away from home and travel extensively across the UK.
• Experience working on live commercial sites (petrol stations experience desirable).
