Role Overview:

The Electrical Engineer role is a crucial role to providing varied support to ensure the site is well maintained, inspected and safe for all our team players. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with great attention to detail, who’s skills will ensure required standards are upheld. The successful candidate will need to be motivated with the initiative to plan and implement preventative maintenance measures. This role will vary from organising team participation to carry out maintenance tasks in a timely manner, whilst also becoming involved in site wide projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and plan electrical maintenance checks and reactive maintenance work orders.
  • Ensure data relating to Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance is recorded and reported accurately.
  • Liaise and organise contractor PPM’s.
  • Undertake planned & reactive maintenance or additional works when required
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and stored correctly.
  • Ensure relevant documents are maintained in line with company policies and procedures whilst upholding a high level of confidentiality.
  • HNC or above in Electrical Engineering.
  • City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).
  • Able to work under pressure as part of a team as well as working under your own initiative.
  • Able to handle customer queries in a timely, efficient, & courteous manner.
  • Competent using all Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Continuously pursue high standards, embrace change and recognise improvement opportunities.
  • Comply with recognised procedures and systems.
  • Reliability, dependability, honesty and integrity are essential qualities for this position.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is essential due to the operational needs, including availability to work as part of an on-call rota.
  • Competent and compliant use of hand tools and power tools
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance or Construction role.
  • Ability to understand H&S polices /systems.
  • Confident in making decisions to achieve desired outcome.
  • Experience using software such as CAD.
