Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is recruiting for an Electrical Estimator in Washington, Tyne & Wear to prepare accurate tenders for M&E building services projects. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, producing cost plans and submitting competitive submissions on time.

You will liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors, identify risks and opportunities, and support commercial decisions throughout the tender process.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing tenders for M&E projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tenders.
• Solid commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and specs.
• Experience dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tender submissions for M&E projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Produce cost plans and pricing submissions.
• Take-offs of labour and materials and assess requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to secure tenders.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Support pricing strategies to keep tenders competitive.
• Assist with handover of tenders to the project delivery team.
