Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well-established electrical contractor in Abingdon. This role involves managing estimates and tender submissions for high-specification projects across Oxfordshire and the South East.

The successful candidate will work on various complex, high-value projects within a supportive and growing SME business, engaging with contracts managers, engineers, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical or M&E contractor.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and BS 7671.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Carrying out take-offs and cost analysis.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Pricing commercial, industrial, laboratory, education, and healthcare projects.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
