Building Services Electrical Estimator
Location: Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, with the possibility of hybrid working
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Benefits: Performance bonus scheme, 25 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays

Role Overview

A skilled Electrical Services Estimator is required to join a Pre-Construction team based in Cirencester. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial projects and possess strong technical and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and submit timely and accurate tenders.
  2. Develop tender documentation for internal adjudications.
  3. Assess and vet incoming tenders from the supply chain, ensuring the most competitive offers are considered.
  4. Organize and present tender adjudication meetings, outlining project duration, costing approach, and potential risks.
Skills & Competencies
  1. Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage risks and anticipate cost-related issues.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  3. Proactive problem-solving skills, offering clients cost-effective solutions.
  4. Ability to take project ownership while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience & Qualifications
  1. Previous experience in a similar role within an M&E contractor or M&E division of a main contractor.
  2. Experience in the commercial office and warehousing sectors is advantageous.
  3. Proficiency in estimating costs and timescales accurately to meet tender deadlines.
  4. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. General knowledge of other MEP disciplines, BREEAM, and sustainability principles.
