Job description

Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Location: Warrington

Salary: Up to £60,000 plus car allowance or company car

Basic Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (early finish on Fridays)

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Location: Office-based

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installations across various projects.
  2. Review technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents to prepare comprehensive tenders.
  3. Source and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for cost efficiency.
  4. Identify value engineering opportunities and provide alternative solutions where beneficial.
  5. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders during the tendering process.
  6. Stay informed about current market rates, industry trends, and material pricing.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction sector.
  2. Strong background working on projects in education, healthcare, commercial, student accommodation, or industrial sectors.
  3. In-depth understanding of electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarms, security, and data.
  4. Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under deadlines.
