Our well-established, successful and growing client based in Swindon is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join their company.
Electrical Estimator Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit electrical tenders, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Request deadline extensions and generate RFIs as needed to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients/consultants to develop and present value-engineered solutions
- Source pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist subcontractors; identify long-lead items
- Quantify works and produce detailed, itemised Bills of Quantities when required
- Finalise tender submissions, attend pre-contract meetings, secure project awards, and hand over documentation to M&E Contracts Managers
- Manage mechanical project variations in coordination with Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, ensuring all changes are properly recorded and formally instructed when necessary
- Maintain accurate records using estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
- Participate in KPI meetings with senior management to report on estimating performance and project outcomes
Electrical Estimator Ideal Candidate:
- ONC / HNC or equivalent in an electrical discipline
- Proven experience in electrical estimating within the commercial/industrial sectors
- Strong ability to interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications
- Full UK driving licence required
- CSCS Academically Qualified Card is advantageous
- DBS certification is beneficial
- Experience with TRIMBLE Luckins Live Estimating Software is an advantage
- Familiarity with Eque2 Estimating Software is also a plus
Electrical Estimator Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 17:00
- Friday, 07:30 – 16:00
- 45 minute unpaid break
- 15 minute paid break
