Location: St Albans, Herts
Salary: £40k - £45k + Package or equivalent day rate

Role Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the project planning and execution process. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate cost estimates for electrical installations, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered and budgeted effectively. This includes analysing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

You will collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure that estimates are accurate and competitive. Staying abreast of industry trends, material costs, and emerging technologies will be essential in maintaining the company's competitive edge. Additionally, you will be expected to identify opportunities to enhance estimating procedures and overall project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment: Analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installations.
2. Cost Analysis: Determine material, labour, and time requirements for projects, ensuring competitive and precise pricing.
3. Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand project scopes and provide clear, detailed proposals.
4. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and emerging technologies to inform estimations.
5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance estimating procedures and overall project efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction or electrical industry.
2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
3. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
