Company Overview:

Since their formation almost 20 years ago, my client has become one of the most reputable commercial office fit-out M&E contractors in London. They are known for delivering fast-paced fit-out projects for clients such as ISG, Parkeray, BW Workplace Experts, and MACE Interiors. The company has a strategic growth plan for the next five years, focusing on sensible investment and repeat business. Following recent growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their operations team.

Role Overview:

The Electrical Estimator will be client-facing and take a proactive approach to managing their pipeline of work. Responsibilities include managing tenders by researching and gathering relevant information, and securing projects through competitive tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and complete tender forms to ensure compliance with specifications and evaluate tenders to provide timely pricing.
2. Maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors.
3. Obtain estimates and prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Prepare and issue tenders in accordance with provided documentation.
5. Follow up on tenders and assist in securing projects.
6. Lead initiatives to improve estimating processes.
7. Ensure understanding of health and safety regulations.
8. Possess at least 5 years of experience as an estimator within M&E building services.
9. Have strong technical knowledge of electrical building services.
10. Experience working in the office fit-out sector.
11. Experience managing projects around £1 million within your discipline.
