Job summary

Trust in People is seeking an Electrical Estimator to price and win electrical installation work across London with a strong focus on commercial fit-out projects. The role involves producing accurate estimates from tender through to contract award and coordinating with project management and design teams.

The position is based in Bank, London, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home, offering a blended hybrid arrangement to support delivery and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within commercial fit out.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and current regulations.
• Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installation works on commercial fit-out projects, from tender enquiry through to submission.
• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to produce detailed take-offs and material schedules.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Build up labour, material and plant costs to produce competitive, profitable tenders.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors and consultants during the tender process to clarify scope and requirements.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender packages.
• Hand over won projects to the delivery team with a clear scope and cost breakdown.
• Maintain up-to-date pricing data and supplier/subcontractor rates.
• Track live tenders and support the wider team in meeting submission deadlines.

Trust in People are currently looking for an Electrical Estimator on behalf of our valued client.

We're looking for a Electrical Estimator with solid commercial fit-out experience to price and win electrical installation work across London.

You'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive estimates from tender through to contract award, working closely with our project management and design teams.

This role is based in Bank, London and offers 4 days a week in the office, with 1 day working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installation works on commercial fit-out projects, from tender enquiry through to submission
• 2. Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to produce detailed take-offs and material schedules
• 3. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• 4. Build up labour, material, and plant costs to produce competitive, profitable tenders
• 5. Liaise with clients, main contractors, and consultants during the tender process to clarify scope and requirements
• 6. Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender packages
• 7. Hand over won projects to the delivery team with a clear scope and cost breakdown
• 8. Maintain up-to-date pricing data and supplier/subcontractor rates

What We're Looking For

• 1. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within commercial fit out (office, retail, or hospitality environments)
• 2. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and current regulations
• 3. Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• 4. Experience using estimating software such as Trimble and bluebeam
• 5. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• 6. Strong communication skills, able to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• 7. Able to work in our Bank, London office 4 days a week, with 1 day hybrid
• 8. Electrical qualification or background as a qualified electrician is an advantage, but not essential
