A local Mechanical & Electrical services firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator in Fareham. The ideal candidate will have a background as an Electrician and be skilled in estimating Electrical projects worth £100k to £2m. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, performing detailed breakdowns, and supporting the project team. A qualification in Estimating or Surveying is advantageous.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of compliance.

Overview

C.Neo Ltd are working with a local Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Company to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator in Fareham, Hampshire. The ideal Electrical Estimator will ideally have come from the tools as an Electrician with the experience to price up major Electrical projects within commercial & industrial sites. Qualified in either Estimating or Surveying would be advantageous also.

Responsibilities
  • The estimating of Electrical works and complex tenders ranging between £100k - £2m ensuring that all works are safe and compliant.
  • Design and comply with all Electrical installation regulations.
  • Accurately undertake any necessary take-offs of drawings and schedules and perform data entry into the estimating software.
  • Provide detailed scope of works with breakdowns.
  • Be commercially aware and ensure estimates are fully quantified and commercially robust.
  • Follow all company procedures for enquiry and tender handling.
  • Oversee the compilation of the tender return to ensure all elements are accounted for prior to submittal.
  • Provide ongoing assistance to the projects team if requests for the generation of variation costs are received.
  • Working with various business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity.
  • Identify and provide solutions to areas of improvement.
  • Lead and manage the estimating of all Electrical small works.
  • Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for Electrical systems and the related equipment.
  • Advising the Electrical Operations Manager of labour requirements for upcoming Electrical works.
