Job summary

An educational institution in Merseyside is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Trainer/Assessor. Overview

Electrical Engineering Trainer/Assessor – Merseyside. Up to £35,000 p/a. Full-time, permanent.

We are working with an education provider in the Merseyside area who are looking for an Electrical Engineering Trainer/Assessor to join their team.

The role is a permanent full-time role, comprising 38.75 hours per week (8:00am until 4:30pm, with a 3:15pm finish on Fridays) and you would be based at the education provider's centre in the Merseyside area, where you would be asked to train Electrical Engineering apprentices on their level 2/3 EAL course.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver practical and workshop-based teaching for Electrical Engineering apprentices on level 2/3 EAL course.
  • Train, assess and mentor learners in practical skills such as wiring, inspection & testing, and related activities.
  • Travel to workplaces in the local area to assess learners on their practical Electrical Engineering skills.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • MUST have a Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience of wiring.
  • Experience of inspection & testing.
  • A desire to pass on your knowledge.

The education provider can consider skilled industry candidates who are looking to move into training and can assist them with achieving teaching/assessment qualifications on the job.

Salary & Benefits

The starting salary for this position is up to £35,000 per annum. The package includes a pension, business mileage allowance, a health/life plan, and 30 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).
