Job summary

Paramadina invites you to join the Nuclear Graduates programme, a two-year UK-wide rotation through the nuclear sector with sponsors including Rolls-Royce and ONR. You will contribute to regulation, safety and standards while developing core engineering and regulatory skills.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a relevant degree (BEng, MEng, BSc or MSc) with minimum 2:2.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in teams.
  • Eligibility to work for the duration of the 2-year programme and willingness to travel/relocate.
  • Successful completion of security clearance checks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the regulation of nuclear licensed sites, ensuring safe nuclear operations.
  • Work as an Electrical inspector making regulatory decisions on design, installation, operation, and maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Assess safety demonstration, suitability of safety management processes, and innovations enhancing safety.
  • Participate in development of national and international standards and guidance.
  • Specify and lead research projects and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to assess risks holistically.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with licensees, government bodies, and international partners.
  • Communicate clearly, work effectively in teams, influence appropriately, and make sound judgements.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Support the regulation of nuclear licensed sites, ensuring safe nuclear operations.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • A relevant degree (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Controls, Computing, Physics, or other relevant subjects.
  • A minimum 2:2 degree classification.
  • Strong technical capability combined with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work well in teams, influence others, and make sound judgements.
  • Self-awareness including understanding limits and when to seek support.
  • Right to work for the duration of the 2-year programme and willingness to travel and relocate.
  • Successful completion of security clearance checks.
