Join the Nuclear Graduates programme to develop chemical engineering expertise through diverse secondments in the UK nuclear sector.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking process design and analysis for chemical plants and processes, including process design development and application of analytical methods.
  • Applying chemical process safety tools and techniques.
  • Supporting troubleshooting of chemical process operations.
  • Developing outlines, concepts, schemes, and detailed process designs to meet facility, product manufacturing, and operational requirements.
  • Assessing process designs by developing and testing process simulation models (mass-energy balances, flow-sheeting, advanced process modelling).
  • Collaborating with process chemists, controls engineers, and operations engineers to optimize process designs for production and operations.
  • Supporting operational teams in process troubleshooting, optimisation, defect rectification, and risk assessment.
