Job summary

Aggreko in Dumbarton seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager/Lead – Power Generation to lead the electrical engineering team across the full product lifecycle. You will guide design through concept to manufacturing, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Project Managers and OEMs to deliver efficient power solutions.

You will ensure compliance with electrical standards, drive innovation, manage resources, and maintain robust technical documentation within a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
• Chartered status or working towards is preferable.
• Proven experience in technical leadership or team management.
• Strong background in electrical design for power generation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team.
• Drive design and development of electrical systems for power generation products.
• Support full product lifecycle from requirements to manufacturing handover.
• Collaborate with suppliers and OEMs to meet cost and performance targets.
• Allocate resources across projects and lead design reviews.
• Develop and maintain design documentation and test plans.
• Prioritise health and safety in product design and team activities.
