Electrical Engineering Manager – Mission-Critical - Data Centres - £85.000 to £95,000 Plus Car allowance , annual bonus and many more In - House - direct employed

Join one of the world’s largest and most forward-thinking organisations, leading the way in the global data centre industry. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of electrical engineers within our Central Engineering function.

As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical systems within your region, ensuring the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Acting as a key interface between Data Centre Operations, Design teams, OEMs, and customers, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our mission-critical infrastructure. What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Electrical Engineering function across the UK and Western Europe (UK, Netherlands, Spain, France).
  • Manage, develop, and expand a team of electrical engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee stakeholder management, providing regular updates to internal and external teams.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement electrical safety rules, ensuring compliance and harmonisation across operations.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for electrical and control issues.
  • Lead the development of SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs, ensuring best practices in electrical operations.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for Design teams, OEMs, and external consultants, bringing deep technical expertise to mission-critical projects.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing electrical engineers in a mission-critical environment.
  • Expertise in HV/LV systems, UPS, standby power, BMS/EMS, and control systems within Data Centres or similar sectors.
  • Experience as a High Voltage Authorising Engineer (HV AE).
  • Strong technical knowledge of short circuits, discrimination, and arc flash studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimise electrical systems for efficiency and reliability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Track record of training development and technical mentoring.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
  • Fluency in English; and additional European languages (Dutch, Spanish, French, German) are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% across the region.
