Location: Stoke-on-Trent (commutable distance or willing to relocate)

Salary: up to £69,000 (depending on experience)

About the Product:

Join a team working on a globally deployed large-scale commercial scanning device designed to detect illicit cargo such as drugs, weapons, and unauthorized human transport across borders. This sophisticated system integrates hardware, embedded software, and software engineering to ensure efficient, secure screening for international security.

About the Role:

We’re looking for talented Electrical Engineering Manager to join the team with an emphasis on hands-on development and real-time communication.

Tech Stack Highlights:

  • Experience with Electrical Control Panels
  • Experience with machine design
  • Site commissioning work
  • Develop and manage new product introduction programs to meet organisational objectives, ensuring timely and budgeted delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership and support design reviews, managing project risks and constraints.
  • Enforce configuration control and document release processes, including oversight of Agile and EPlan outputs.
  • Train and mentor engineers and support staff, conducting regular check-ins, annual reviews, and career guidance.
  • Contribute to business strategy development and maintain awareness of market trends to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Comfortable with on-site work due to the sensitive nature of the projects
  • Open to occasional travel (1-2 times/year) to deployment sites (fully compensated)
  • Able to obtain SC clearance (arranged and funded by the company)
