Job Description

A world-leading provider of mobile modular power, temperature control and energy services, is currently looking to hire an Electrical Engineering Lead/Manager. The successful candidate will lead and manage the electrical engineering team responsible for the development and support of both new and existing products within our client’s power portfolio.

The Electrical Engineering Lead/Manager will:

• Support the full product lifecycle—requirements gathering, concept , design, testing, validation, and manufacturing handover.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, system architecture, and test plans.
• Work closely with suppliers and OEMs to select components and develop solutions that meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets.
• Drive the design and development of electrical systems for power products, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives.

The Electrical Engineering Lead/Manager will have:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. (Chartered status or working towards preferable)
• Proven experience in managing similar sized teams (minimum of 5 heads)
• Significant electrical design and integration experience (up to 240V min) - min control panels design.
• Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering design tools and software, including AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, compliance, and certification processes including UKCA, UL, CSA, and CE.
• Strong background in the design and development of electrical systems in power equipment, industrial machines, or related technologies.
