Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Bristol-based, invites driven students to join as an Intern in Electrical Engineering. You will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military and commercial aircraft and ground stations.

The role offers exposure to avionics, RF, data processing, power distribution, and testing activities, with CAD/PLM tool usage and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Create system wiring diagrams and control panels using CAD tools.
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Design avionics, RF, LAN, data processing and power distribution systems; support testing and integration on aircraft.

Job Description:

In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. Electrical Engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on numerous aircraft platforms.

Essential Functions:

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, controlpanelsand other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design)tool
• Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost
• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on theaircraft

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuingaBachelor’sdegree, aMaster’sdegree or a PhDin Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Skills/Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter
• Knowledge of Siemens Capital software
