Job summary

The Dornan Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme invites graduates to work on live projects with experienced engineers, gaining exposure to low and medium voltage systems, busbar systems, lighting, power distribution, diesel generator systems, and more within a live construction setting.

Selected candidates will rotate across projects in Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe, with structured development, training and a mentor to support progression from June 2027 onward.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Pursuing Electrical Engineering Degree (Level 8).

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take-offs and tender schedules.
• Assist with preparing technical and contract documents for issue and analysing tenders.
• Prepare and update delivery schedules to control deliveries.
• Seek to clarify queries with the Design team through the RFI system.
• Prepare programmes using MS Project.
• Monitor progress against the programme and issue progress reports.
• Produce look-ahead programmes to assist production.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments with the construction team.
• Maintain a register of contract variations.
• Prepare test packs for recording system completion.
• Carry out Quality Control through inspections and snagging.
• Carry out document control, recording and transmitting information.
• Assist projects with financial control of contracts during construction stage.
• Liaise with client’s design team and contractors on technical issues.
