Job summary

Natural Power seeks an Electrical Engineer for our Stirling/Glasgow office to support grid connection strategies and renewable project delivery.

You will work across wind, solar and BESS projects, providing grid consultancy, preparing connection applications, and coordinating with DNOs/TSOs. This is a permanent role with 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering for renewables projects.
• Knowledge of grid connection processes and standards.
• Ability to manage design reviews with grid authorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide grid consultancy services regarding costs, timelines and technical aspects of grid connections.
• Prepare and submit grid connection applications and modifications for new renewable projects.
• Ensure electrical infrastructure for wind, solar and BESS projects is designed, installed and commissioned per requirements.
• Act as SPOC in design review with DNOs/TSOs and other grid authorities.
• Provide technical support to Project Manager/Owner’s Engineer for project delivery.
• Prepare specifications and employer’s requirements for solar EPC contracts and related packages.
• Review electrical and grid connection infrastructure for risk mitigation.
• Attend site meetings and inspect electrical works, preparing snag lists.
• Facilitate grid code compliance testing processes.
• Provide due diligence advisory services to developers, asset owners and investors.
