The Role

Norton Motorcycles seeks an Electrical Engineer - Quality for a permanent, full-time position, with experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Automotive sectors.

You will be a proactive individual with a hands-on approach to Quality, leading by example to foster a Quality First mindset within an OEM environment, focusing on new product ranges.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the NPD Quality Manager in defining, developing, and executing quality deliverables within the NPD process.
  • Develop product inspection processes during pre-production builds, ready for handover to the current vehicle quality team.
  • Ensure inspection standards are met according to NPD timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on DFMEA, PFMEA, design reviews, control plans, DFM, and other NPD activities.
  • Assist in planning and developing testing for electrical/electronic architecture.
  • Liaise with Supplier Quality for PPAP delivery.
  • Manage issues during build & test phases to ensure resolution within Norton’s problem resolution system.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality on development part issues during pre-production.

Personal Specification

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic architecture (Automotive).
  • Understanding of part and product specifications, including CAN and LIN communication protocols.
  • Experience with electrical test cases and plans.
  • Ability to interpret electrical test reports.
  • Electrical engineering background preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical requirements and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of international standards is advantageous.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Self-reliant with strong organizational skills.
