Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is assisting a leading facilities management contractor in the UK to recruit an Electrical Engineer for diverse planned and reactive maintenance roles. The Electrical Engineer will deliver maintenance across building services and ensure safety, compliance, and high standards.

You will maintain records, support subcontractors, and contribute to health & safety initiatives while developing in a varied, long-term career path.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications City & Guilds Levels 1-3 (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification or certification.
• Experience delivering electrical maintenance within a commercial or facilities management environment.
• Good understanding of building services systems including heating, chilled water, air distribution, domestic water, UPS, and generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance in line with KPIs/SLAs.
• Diagnose faults, undertake electrical repairs, and support basic plumbing and fabric tasks.
• Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
• Support subcontractor management activities, including RAMS reviews and site access coordination.
• Promote health & safety compliance and provide reporting to management.
