Job description

Electrical Engineer (Mobile), London Borough of Tower Hamlets

This role involves working as part of the FM team to undertake electrical works, plant and machinery maintenance, and PPM activities to meet contractual service requirements. The position supports operational activities related to asset management and aims to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform Planned Programmed Maintenance activities
2. Conduct reactive repairs and maintenance tasks
3. Monitor performance of plant and equipment
4. Plan and undertake remedial works arising from maintenance activities
5. Close work tasks promptly to avoid performance penalties
6. Update maintenance records to ensure statutory compliance
7. Record daily activities and actions accurately
8. Act as the Responsible Person for LV systems
9. Prepare work schedules, costs, and quotes for ANC/Variations
10. Provide advice and support to the FM team
11. Ensure safety and compliance with H&S legislation and procedures
12. Perform other activities as reasonably required by Senior Management

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Essential:

• Current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
• PASMA Safe Use of a Scaffold Tower or Mobile Tower
• IPAF Certification
• IOSH Managing Safety
• Asbestos Awareness
• Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
• Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
• Experience with LV systems, alarm systems, BMS systems (TREND), and electrical works
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permit to Work procedures
• PC literacy and MS Office skills
• Full driving license with Category Part B
• Relevant DBS clearance

Desirable:

• HNC or equivalent in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline
• Water Hygiene - Lineally Awareness Course
