Job summary

James Gray Recruitment seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and refine electrical systems within MEP projects in the UK. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to produce layouts, schematics, and calculations that meet UK codes and energy efficiency goals.

Responsibilities include load calculations, site visits, and ensuring designs adhere to safety and environmental standards while providing technical guidance to junior engineers. This role emphasises collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in MEP electrical design compliant with UK standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for large-scale MEP projects in line with UK regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to integrate designs.
• Create detailed layouts, schematics, and calculations.
• Perform load calculations and energy-efficient design assessments.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and energy standards are met.
• Attend site inspections and provide technical support to ensure quality.
