Electrical Engineer

Technip Energies UKOC is seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer for major energy transition, olefins, refinery, and petrochemical projects located in both UK and international markets.

Job Scope:

This key role will report to the Electrical Discipline Lead and will have responsibilities including:

• Assist in the preparation and review of engineering procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Support the preparation of discipline basis of design and specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and detailed discipline drawings.
• Review vendor proposals, documentation, and drawings.
• Support the Lead Electrical Engineer on projects and proposals.
• Participate in vendor meetings.
• Contribute to proposals, man-hour estimates, and material cost estimates.
• Assist in construction sub-contracts, bid evaluations, and supervision of contractors.
• Support other electrical design activities such as:
• Single Line Diagrams
• Load Summaries
• Substation Layout Drawings
• Material Take Offs and Priced Bill of Materials

Travel within the UK and overseas may be required for meetings, equipment testing, and site technical support.

• Experience with major electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, diesel generators, cabling, and hazardous area equipment.
• Basic understanding of hazardous area requirements, IEC 60079, and IP Part 15. Selection of electrical equipment for hazardous areas.
• Basic knowledge of short circuit analysis and load flow studies.
• Understanding of design requirements for equipment layouts, earthing, lighting, cabling, and electric heat tracing.
• Experience with distribution network design for ethylene plants and similar industrial applications.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and willingness to learn new tools.
• Ability to interpret and work according to client and company standards and procedures.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
