To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team.

About Your Role

You will provide low voltage electrical design and consultancy services for significant clients, supporting technical leads on complex engineering projects. You can expect to work on diverse projects for major public and private sector organizations, becoming part of a respected company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities. Your work may include:

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure feasibility studies, design, and technical assurance, ranging from local authority chargers to major refuelling hubs with megawatt charging systems.
  • Design of renewable energy generation and storage systems to support decarbonisation and net-zero goals.
  • Urban regeneration projects creating vibrant public spaces.
  • Highway electrical design and assurance for local authorities and National Highways.

No two days are the same. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting design team leads on large projects to ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant outputs.
  • Leading smaller projects, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Participating in project meetings, providing input, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Mentoring technicians and engineers for their professional development.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven high standards in low voltage electrical design, preferably in UK transportation sectors.
  • Experience with EV infrastructure and UK transportation sectors.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for technical, programmatic, and financial performance.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Registration with the Engineering Council and professional membership.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certification.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Amtech ProDesign, or Modecsoft ElectricalOM is a plus.
