Job summary

WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team in the UK. You will support low voltage electrical design and consultancy on diverse projects across the UK, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to deliver high-quality, compliant designs.

• Support the delivery of low voltage electrical design and consultancy services, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on UK projects.
• Assist experienced engineers in developing high-quality, compliant designs and broaden technical knowledge.
• Contribute to EV infrastructure feasibility studies, renewable energy generation and energy storage projects, and urban realm/regeneration schemes.

You will support the delivery of low voltage electrical design and consultancy services, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of engineering projects across the UK. You will assist experienced engineers in developing high-quality, compliant designs and will have the opportunity to build your technical knowledge and project experience across a diverse range of sectors.

• Small and large-scale Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure feasibility studies, design, and technical assurance activities – from local authority (LEVI) schemes through to major multi-vector refuelling hubs integrating megawatt charging systems and low‑carbon fuels.

• Specification and design of renewable energy generation and energy storage systems supporting decarbonisation and net zero objectives.

• Design of urban realm and regeneration projects to create safe, attractive and functional public spaces.

• Highway electrical design and technical assurance services for local authority and National Highways clients
