Job DescriptionJob DescriptionParagon Engineering Services is a professional engineering firm that provides mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services to contractors, architects, owners and other engineering firms. We offer competitive and quality services to clients in the commercial, corporate, government, healthcare, industrial, telecommunications and utility markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives that involve conventional types of plans and specifications.
• Responsible for electrical design, writing specifications, inter-discipline coordination, field surveys, and documentation, design reports and analysis.
• Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications.
• Provides project design team leadership, client management, proposals and estimating.
• Completing projects on time and within budget.
• Assist in marketing and sales efforts, and construction cost estimating.
• May direct/coordinate the work of designers and CAD Operators.
• Should have varied experience in the design of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, health care, educational and municipal facilities.
• Interact with vendors concerning parts they supply or propose to supply.
• Provides input to the other engineering departments.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE certification required and 5+ years engineering experience.
• Must have initiative and be capable of working independently on most required tasks.
• Excellent communication skills required for marketing, leadership, and coordination
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Soft skills include a positive attitude, flexibility and conflict resolution.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification .
• A detailed-oriented mindset committed to accuracy and precision in assessment methodologies and reporting.

Other Considerations:

• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skill.
