Job summary

KURY UK Ltd. is recruiting engineers to join a nuclear-focused team in the UK. The role centers on cable routing verification in Navisworks, ensuring cable containment, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across multi-system environments.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and enjoys mentoring and training engineers while handling challenging projects with strong cross-team collaboration. Hybrid work with two days remote is offered.

  • Experience analysis and problem solving in industrial projects is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify cable routing within Navisworks models.
  • Validate cable containment systems (trays, conduits, supports) and ensure compliance with nuclear standards.
  • Support engineering and construction activities with ready-to-use documentation and issue resolutions.
  • Coordinate with site teams to track routing issues and ensure safety and quality compliance.

KURY UK Ltd is part of an international company, Kury Groupe, 100% dedicated to the nuclear field with 26 years of experience in nuclear engineering.

Since then, we have been working with EDF (French Electricity Producer). We are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

We are now looking for engineers to join our Team in the UK. Our human-sized structure (100 employees worldwide) allows us to devote ourselves to mentoring and training our engineers. SUITABLE CANDIDATE

You enjoy analysing concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up.

Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you.

Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments.

You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems. You know how to manage a small-sized team.

THE ROLE
1) Cable Routing Verification in Navisworks (Primary Role)
  • Review and verify cable routing within Navisworks models.
  • Validate cable containment systems (cable trays, conduits, supports).
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear installation standards and project requirements.
  • Identify clashes between:
  • cable trays
  • equipment
  • structure
  • piping systems
  • HVAC systems.
  • Verify routing feasibility prior to installation.
  • Support clash detection and coordination activities.
  • Ensure routing complies with:
  • safety separation rules
  • maintenance requirements.
2) Compliance with Nuclear Quality and Safety Requirements
  • Apply nuclear safety culture principles.
  • Follow quality assurance and traceability requirements.
  • Ensure documentation compliance with nuclear standards.
  • Support resolution of:
  • NCR (Non-Conformance Reports)
  • TQ (Technical Queries)
  • Design changes
  • Respect configuration management and document control processes.
3) Support to Engineering and Construction Activities
  • Assist in preparation of engineering work packs.
  • Support readiness for construction and installation.
  • Verify technical documentation before site activities.
  • Follow up corrective actions and technical issues.
  • Support coordination between engineering and site teams.
Typical Daily Tasks
  • Verify cable routing in Navisworks.
  • Review cable containment systems.
  • Review drawings and cable lists.
  • Track routing issues.
  • Communicate with engineering and site teams.
  • Update verification and quality reports.

Tools and Software: Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, EDMS / Document Control Systems, BIM platforms, Nuclear project procedures and standards.

Development Path — Future Responsibilities:
Instrumentation & Control (I&C)

Progressive involvement in:

  • Signal cable management.
  • I/O list and signal documentation review.
Cable Termination and Connection

Future responsibilities may include:

  • Verification of cable termination activities.
  • Glands and lugs installation checks.
  • Cable identification and labelling verification.
  • Continuity and insulation checks.
  • Support to commissioning activities.
Electrical Installation and Commissioning
  • Equipment connection verification.
  • System testing support.

During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
