Our client is a long-established electrical equipment manufacturer based in Leicester, with over a century of engineering expertise. They specialise in designing and producing components for power, transmission, and distribution, and serve sectors such as industrial automation, marine, telecoms, and rail. Supplying major contractors, OEMs, and end users across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, they are known for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
This role is within their load bank division, focusing on the design and development of resistor systems for high-performance applications. You will work closely with the engineering team to design electrical equipment for industrial use, create detailed wiring diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical, and produce key documents like design overviews and resistor element sheets, ensuring compliance with industry and safety standards.
Your responsibilities include reviewing and approving designs, managing updates via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), supporting CE marking, DFMEAs, and product testing. You will troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and support teams across Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support. You will own your projects from start to finish, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
