Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for data centers, commercial offices, and healthcare projects within HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group.

You will contribute to detailed design production and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet project goals. As an employee-owned firm, HDR emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and delivering sustainable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• BEng/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years industry experience in Electrical Design.
• Electrical design experience on Data Center / Mission Critical projects is ESSENTIAL.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production on data centre and other projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into overall projects.
• Coordinate meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule.
• Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devices.
