Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience in small power or distribution system design is required.
  • Understanding of British / European electrical standards is important.
  • Proven experience reviewing supplier technical documentation is needed.
  • Knowledge of equipment layout and routing drawings is necessary.
  • Background in nuclear, power generation or heavy industrial projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with design change and modification management processes is expected.
  • Ability to coordinate between suppliers and engineering teams is key.

  • Manage layout and interface of small power equipment.
  • Deliver design of local cable trays and routing plans.
  • Review supplier documents and coordinate contributor feedback.
  • Resolve technical issues and supplier clarifications promptly.
  • Track modifications, non-conformities and site-based changes.
  • Oversee risks, open points and design change management.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams to align electrical input.

This is a hybrid role based at our Bristol (Aztec West) office, typically three days per week. We can only consider candidates living within a commutable distance, though relocation support may be available.

You’ll be part of the electrical engineering team managing small power equipment layouts and supplier interfaces, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
