The Role: Electrical Building Services Engineer

As an Electrical Building Services Engineer at Arup, you will be a key part of the Building Services Engineering Team, working on multidisciplinary projects with support from graduate engineers and technicians. You will join a team of over 25 engineers and technicians in Leeds and a wider 100+ in the North West & Yorkshire region.

Responsibilities
  • Apply your engineering expertise to shape our projects.
  • Work in an interdisciplinary environment to design buildings that maximize value and minimize environmental impact.
  • Participate in all project stages from feasibility to completion across sectors like commercial, residential, education, energy, sport, health, and mixed-use developments.
  • Engage in development and training initiatives to foster innovation and apply electrical engineering expertise across sectors.
  • Contribute to the digital transformation of our business through automation and integrated digital design approaches.
Candidate Profile
  • Working towards Chartered status with CIBSE, IET, or similar; a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in electrical services engineering design across various project types, with strong technical skills.
  • Proficient in design analysis software and experienced with Revit in a BIM environment.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Committed to professional development, mentoring, and passionate about sustainable building design and innovation.
