A little more about your role…

• Meet the requirements of an 'Engineer' grade with a proven track record in your discipline within project teams.
• Work independently on technical aspects of your discipline.
• Follow the guidance of discipline leads or clients to interpret project needs for full delivery.
• Assess project feasibility specific to your discipline.
• Complete detailed designs and performance specifications, review work, and provide technical advice on a wide range of projects.
• Contribute to detailed design programmes and resource planning.

Your Team

• Collaborate with like-minded professionals on challenging projects.
• Join the Cambridge Building Services team of 25 engineers within a larger group of nearly 400 MEP engineers.
• We prioritize attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, maintaining high ethical standards, and fostering professionalism.
• We value integrity, respect, support, and continuous development.
• Based in Cambridge, with easy access via train and within walking distance of the city center.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

Key Technical Requirements:

• Experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
• Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to your discipline.
• UK project experience within Building Services MEP.
• Proficiency with electrical design software, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and ability to communicate technical details graphically.

Electrical Design Skills:

• Low voltage systems, UPS, cable and lighting calculations, fire alarms, security systems, data cabling, lightning protection.

Qualifications:

• BEng/BSc/MEng in relevant engineering discipline.
• Honours degree accredited by CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council or equivalent experience.
• Working towards IEng or CEng status.
• Revit MEP training.
