Electrical Engineer — Near Derby

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join my client's specialist engineering team, who are operating right at the very top of their field with locations all around the globe. The role involves interpreting electrical schematics, working with circuit wiring, and assembling complex electrical equipment for use in large-scale power testing applications.

This position offers the chance to work on innovative projects that contribute to the development of advanced systems used across a variety of industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
  • Assemble and wire electrical panels and load equipment.
  • Support the design and build of power testing solutions ranging from small to multi-megawatt scale.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Use AutoCAD effectively in daily project work.
  • Apply strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Desirable (but not essential) Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Experience working with high-voltage systems.
  • Previous involvement with electrical panel schematics and complex circuit layouts.
