Job description

Electrical Engineer (164786) Stourbridge, England

Are you an electrical engineer with a background in heavy industry or foundry environments looking for your next opportunity?

This role is based in Stourbridge and is easily accessible from Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, with shifts from 5AM – 3PM or 7AM – 5PM, including rotating Saturday cover depending on breakdowns.

Salary: £37,500 per annum plus overtime rate for Saturday work.

Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained with relevant certificates and qualifications
  • Minimum City & Guilds 17th edition wiring regulations certification
  • Training in wiring regulations
  • Ability to perform electrical control circuit work and handle 3-phase power supplies
  • Experience fault finding on AC/DC systems
Role Responsibilities:
  • Ensure foundry plant and equipment operate efficiently, minimizing waste
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Perform fault diagnosis and repairs in a heavy engineering environment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Assist in developing PPM and maintenance scheduling systems
  • Maintain electrical wiring, motors, and switches in good working condition
  • Operate hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment safely
  • Read wiring configurations to test and identify root causes of faults
  • Reading ladder diagrams for fault diagnosis is advantageous
