Job summary

VERTECH GROUP (UK) LTD in Liverpool is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a world-leading industrial business. The role spans electrical, control and instrumentation systems, combining hands-on engineering with projects, commissioning and fault investigation.

You will work across power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, motors and variable speed drives, with PLC/SCADA/HMI and instrumentation experience essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years' industrial experience.
• Experience with power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, motors and variable speed drives.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI and instrumentation.
• Experience with electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical, control and instrumentation systems across projects and commissioning.
• Investigate faults, drive reliability and continuous improvement in operations.

Electrical Engineer

Location: Liverpool
Salary: Circa £50K – £55K + Benefits

Electrical Engineer required by a world-leading industrial business offering a varied role within a large-scale engineering environment!

This is a broad role working across electrical, control and instrumentation systems, combining hands‑on engineering support with projects, commissioning, fault investigation, reliability and continuous improvement.

Essential:

• Strong electrical engineering background
• Experience within manufacturing, process plant, bulk materials handling or a similar heavy industrial environment
• Experience with power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, motors and variable speed drives
• PLC, SCADA, HMI and instrumentation experience
• Electrical installation, testing and commissioning experience
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers and engineering teams
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years' relevant industrial experience
