BAM FM is recruiting an Electrical Engineer based in Cumbria, near Maryport/Whitehaven. Working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a flexible working policy.

Your mission
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, complete related paperwork and reports.
- Perform Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, ensuring documentation is completed.
- Assist team members as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Complete all tasks within contractual timeframes.
- Proactively reduce energy consumption on site.
- Oversee visiting sub-contractors regarding work standards and health and safety.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures in all duties.
- Accurately complete all work-related documentation on time.
- Review progress requests regularly and communicate issues or delays.
- Deliver high customer satisfaction through prompt responses and efficient completion.
- Develop and manage routine maintenance programs.
- Ensure the safe storage of spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
- Provide technical support when requested.
- Monitor and inspect sub-contractor work daily.
- Manage and control the BMS system where applicable.
- Perform other duties as discussed and agreed.
- Manage services per contract, following best industry and commercial practices.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental legislation and policies.
- Maintain up-to-date records as per legislative and company requirements.
- Perform any other reasonably requested duties.
- Work safely and diligently, creating and filing detailed records for statutory testing and inspections.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance, testing, and fault finding on equipment like air conditioning, plumbing, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting.
- Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service targets.
- Good communication skills and IT proficiency.
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
- Capable of completing paperwork accurately and timely.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in a specialized trade discipline is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in educational settings is advantageous.
- Full UK driver’s license.
