Electrical Engineer – 6 month contract – Based in Portsmouth – Offering £45ph Inside IR35

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
Responsibilities
- From product or architecture requirements produce a specification
- Define interfaces of the electrical systems
- Produce system diagrams and/or circuit diagrams
- Consider and design to electrical safety guidelines
- Perform detailed design in CAD/CAM implementation on component/equipment/mechanical level in accordance with engineering design rules
- Define test strategy and validate design
Your skillset
- Demonstrated ability of electronics and electromagnetics; at system, subsystem, equipment, module, or component level
- Performing requirements capture and validation, design, simulation, integration, verification, certification, and support activities, analysis (power quality, power generation, distribution and storage, power conversion and utilization)
- Manage and develop electronics equipment and components level of analogue and digital circuits, printed circuit board layout, schematic capture, electromagnetic compatibility and interference
- Knowledge of test and measurement techniques
- Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements for a single sub-system / equipment / component / module
- Ability to work closely sharing both industrial and functional design view, from the very early stages of the design through the serial production phase and up to the in-service life of the product (whole product lifecycle)
- Understand global systems/products and their interdependencies during industrialisation phase
- Knowledge of the Configuration Management basic processes, rules, and how they interact with the industrial / business processes
- Knowledge of E3D for circuit diagrams and Windchill for configuration
