Job summary

Saftronics Limited is expanding its engineering team with an experienced Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis. You will drive design deliverables, procurement, scope estimates and quotes, and support clients with site surveys.

Ideal candidates hold an HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering with electrical emphasis, plus proven design-office experience and AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical proficiency. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with emphasis in electrical.
• Experience in a design office using British/European standards.
• Ability to produce design calculations.
• Experience with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss job requirements.

• Read design specifications and technical drawings.

What Are We Looking For?

RSE Controls (Saftronics) is expanding their engineering team as we look to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. You'll be involved in the full scope of activities for our projects, responsible for the design deliverables, the procurement of goods and services, preparing work scope estimates and quotes, whilst carrying out site surveys and client support.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Meet with clients to discuss specific job requirements.
• Design systems and products, researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales.
• Reading design specifications and technical drawings.
• Producing AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical drawings.
• Prepare final documentation (O&M Manual, As Built Drawings etc.)
• Material requisitioning.
• Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, alongside site documentation.
• Carry out site surveys when required in conjunction

What Do You Need?

• HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with particular emphasis in electrical.
• Proven track record of working as an Engineer within a design office, utilising a knowledge of British and European design standards.
• Ability to produce design calculations as required.
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.
• Full UK Driving Licence
