Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join our Design team. You’ll work on technically complex projects in the Water industry, producing electrical CAD drawings, schematics, and cable schedules while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 2D modelling skills, strong quality focus, and a current UK driving licence. Water sector experience is a plus, and the role offers opportunity for professional development within a growing

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC/HND or degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2D modelling skills with ability to translate proposed designs into accurate models.
• Strong focus on quality while working at pace within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate electrical CAD drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams.
• Develop and update electrical design documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site modifications, and as-built information.
• Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates, and engineering processes.

What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for an Electrical CAD Technician to join our Chemical Dosing and Wastewater Solutions Team. You’ll be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team who can offer guidance and support, as you work on technically complex and challenging projects within the Water industry.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Produce accurate electrical CAD drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams.
• Develop and update electrical design documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site modifications, and as-built information.
• Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistence.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates, and engineering processes.

What Do You Need?

• Qualified to HNC, HND, Degree level in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
• 2D modelling skills with experience of translating proposed designs into accurate models.
• Keen focus on quality whilst also be able to work at pace within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior experience of working within the water sector would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
