Job Title: Electrical Bias Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Electrical Bias Engineer to join the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining new plant and equipment, ensuring swift rectification of plant faults and defects.

Role Summary:

  1. React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA’s.
  2. Possess technical awareness of computer room, call centre, and trader operations, with experience in power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling, etc.
  3. Perform repairs to modular UPS systems.
  4. Test and diagnose power quality issues, including harmonic distortion, using onsite power analyzers.
  5. Apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centers/critical environments.
  6. Provide emergency response standby and call-out services.
  7. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
  8. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies as per SLA.
  9. Maintain all critical engineering maintenance documentation and records.
  10. Advise the Facilities Management Team on changes in critical environment requirements.
  11. Work beyond contractual hours when required.
  12. Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works.
  13. Perform upgrade and installation work.
  14. Interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes, and O&M manuals.
  15. Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk requests.
  16. Monitor and analyze environmental conditions and review loading/working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
  17. Adhere to financial processes at all times.
  18. Complete incident reports for abnormal incidents affecting system availability within 24 business hours.
  19. Determine root causes and action items to restore and prevent system issues.
  20. Review and document all actions taken, ensuring completion.
  21. Enter relevant quotes and remedial works into the in-house system.

Experience Required:

  1. Essential: 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  2. Desirable: Experience with building management systems, fault finding, VAV systems, FCU systems, chilled water circuits, HVAC systems, CDM process, customer service, H & S procedures, health & safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH), electrical testing and inspection, utility monitoring, and water hygiene (L8).
  3. Experience or certification as an Authorised Person (e.g., AP15/12).
