Electrical Engineer - Lead Innovation in a Thriving SME

Location:- Loughborough

Contract - GBP35-40ph

Sector: Specialist Manufacturing (High-Precision Thermal Control Systems)

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the go-to person for all things electrical-leading improvements, refining designs, and driving the development of our next generation of products.

What You Bring

We're after someone who knows their wires and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You'll likely tick most of these boxes:

  • A Degree, HND or Level 5 qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
  • Around 3+ years of hands-on experience in machinery or equipment-based electrical engineering roles.
  • Fluent in electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical or similar) and knows their way around a control panel.
  • Experience in wiring, testing and assembly.
  • Good communicator with a methodical, problem-solving brain and a sense of ownership.

Bonus Points If You Also Have

  • Experience designing for international power specs (if you've ever had to ask, Is this the 60Hz or 50Hz region, you're our kind of person).
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems or configurable product design.
  • A background in small-batch or configurable manufacturing.
